Hochtief reports strong growth and raises profit forecast

Hochtief has reported strong half-year results characterized by double-digit growth. Revenue rose by 10% to €20.1 billion compared to the previous year, driven largely by its US subsidiary, Turner Construction, which saw a 15.7% revenue increase to €14.1 billion. The company’s operating profit improved by 35% to €480 million.

CEO Juan Santamaría Cases noted sustained demand for infrastructure, specifically in data centers, energy, defense, and critical minerals. Due to this positive development and a growing order backlog of €84.8 billion, Hochtief has raised its annual profit forecast to between €1 billion and €1.1 billion.

Despite these strong fundamentals, the company’s stock has experienced a correction, dropping from a high of approximately €550 in May to around €426. This decline follows the company’s inclusion in the DAX index in June 2026.
