Hockenheim Classics 2026 to feature 500 historical racing vehicles

The 49th Hockenheim Classics is scheduled to take place at the Hockenheimring from September 11 to 20, 2026. The event will feature over 500 participants showcasing historical motorcycles and automobiles spanning seven decades of motorsport history, from 1932 through the 1990s.

The racing program includes the season finals for the German Historic Motorcycle Championship (DHM), the International Historic Racing Organization (IHRO), and the IG Königsklasse. A special focus will be placed on historical racing sidecars produced between 1920 and 1980.

Among the notable entries is Peter Vagt, who will compete with a MAICO MD 250 WK Cup prototype. This water-cooled, single-cylinder two-stroke machine dates back to the early 1980s and was originally designed for a planned MAICO Cup.
