Hockey Canada selects National Women's Development Team

Hockey Canada has announced the roster for its National Women's Development Team, which will compete in a three-game series against the United States' National Women's Collegiate Select Team. The series is scheduled to take place at the Richmond Olympic Oval in British Columbia from August 10 to August 16.

The 22-player roster includes several collegiate standout players. Defensemen Makayla Watson of Quinnipiac University and Rosalie Breton have been selected, with Watson making her second consecutive appearance on the development team. Forwards Abby Stonehouse and Grace Outwater from Penn State University have also earned spots on the roster.

These selections follow the Canada National Women's Team Development Camp held from August 2 to August 9. The camp also serves as an initial evaluation step for the 2027 Euro Hockey Tour Series in the Czech Republic.
