In Pakistan, the Pakistan Hockey Federation, in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Board and other regional departments, launched a “Grassroots Level Hockey Development Initiative” in Mansehra. The program distributed hockey equipment and kit bags to Under-15 teams from over 24 government schools. This initiative seeks to build a talent pipeline for the national team, with plans to expand equipment distribution to other districts including Abbottabad, Faisalabad, South Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. Officials also announced that an Under-15 National Hockey Championship is scheduled for January 2027.
