Hockey Night in Brampton raises $2.5 million for new hospital
The Hockey Night in Brampton 2026 charity event raised $2,525,000 to support the William Osler Health System Foundation and the construction of a second hospital in Brampton. This latest contribution brings the total amount raised by the event over the last five years to nearly $80 million.
Held at the CAA Centre, the game featured a matchup between Team Messier, coached by Gary Roberts and Coach Chippy, and Team Rielly, coached by Wendel Clark and Paul Coffey. The contest ended in a 9-9 tie. The event included participation from various NHL stars and rising talents, such as Dylan Strome, Owen Power, and Morgan Rielly, as well as PWHL players Emily Clark and Jaime Bourbonnais.
Dylan Strome gained social media attention during the game for a one-handed shootout goal. The event also featured pre-game autograph sessions with hockey legends including Doug Gilmour and Ryan Getzlaf.
