Hockey updates: Sparta Praha veterans and Martin Pospíšil's new NHL role

In the Czech Extraliga, HC Sparta Praha features several players with significant tenure. Pavel Kousal is currently in his fifth consecutive season with the club, having joined following a stint with Mladá Boleslav. Jakub Krejčík, a two-time Czech champion, is also in his fifth consecutive season with the Prague-based team.

In the NHL, Slovak forward Martin Pospíšil is taking on new responsibilities with the Calgary Flames. Despite facing career-threatening challenges, including five previous concussions, Pospíšil has established himself as a physical presence, setting a club record for hits in a single season. Following a period of recovery from a concussion that sidelined him for half of a previous season, he is now being utilized in specialized roles, including penalty killing.
