Hodonín battery storage facility launched by MND

MND has launched a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) in Hodonín, Czech Republic. The facility has a capacity of 10 Megawatts and features a technical design consisting of five independent units, providing high operational flexibility compared to the company’s previous 12 Megawatt facility in Břeclav.

The system utilizes a proprietary Energy Management System and trading algorithms to monitor market conditions, consumption predictions, weather, and grid capacity to determine optimal times for storing and discharging electricity.

MND, which is part of the KKCG group, plans to invest over one billion Czech koruna into large-capacity battery storage this year. The company is preparing four additional storage projects in Orlová, Mušov, Bruzovice, and Blansko, with two expected to be operational this year. MND is also developing projects in Germany and Ukraine to expand its portfolio of modern energy technologies, including solar, wind, and geothermal energy.
