Hočevar siblings secure second place at Paris World Cup
Slovenian siblings Žiga Lin Hočevar and Eva Alina Hočevar achieved significant success at the whitewater slalom World Cup in Paris. Both athletes secured second-place finishes in their respective categories.
In the women's competition, Eva Alina Hočevar finished second, trailing winner Zuzana Pankova by 1.74 seconds after incurring two penalty seconds. In the men's event, Žiga Lin Hočevar narrowly missed first place, finishing second behind Vaclav Chaloupka by just 0.16 seconds due to a gate touch.
With these results, both Hočevar siblings have taken the lead in the overall World Cup standings heading into the final race of the season in Seu d'Urgell. Other Slovenian competitors included Benjamin Savšek, who finished eighth in the men's race, and Luka Božič, who placed 19th.
