Hof police investigate group after threats at Sonnenplatz

Police in Hof have launched an investigation following a disturbance at Sonnenplatz on Thursday morning, August 27. A group of five young men, including three brothers aged 15, 17, and 23, and two other brothers aged 17 and 21, reportedly caused a scene by shouting loudly.

When a 29-year-old father asked the group to be quieter while walking with his two children to kindergarten, the men allegedly insulted and threatened him and his children. The situation escalated when police arrived; a 17-year-old member of the group reportedly acted aggressively and had to be temporarily pinned to the ground and handcuffed. The group was eventually issued a trespass warning and left the area.
