Hofmeir and Schmelz close Wurzer Sommerkonzerte

Andreas Martin Hofmeir and Barbara Schmelz concluded the 39th Wurzer Sommerkonzerte with a performance titled ‘Konzertante Aneignung – eine musikalische Frechheit’. Held in the garden of the Historischer Pfarrhof, the sold-out concert blended music, cabaret, and music theater.

Hofmeir performed on the tuba alongside satirical poems, while Schmelz provided piano accompaniment. The program featured a mix of musical masterpieces and humorous poems from ‘Hundsgemeinen Instrumentenkunde’, combining technical instrumental skill with witty, poetic commentary on instrument history and sound culture.
