Hogar Crea Dominicano awards recovery workshop certificates to 22 women

Hogar Crea Dominicano Inc. Femenino Santiago recently awarded completion certificates to 22 women undergoing treatment and recovery. The participants completed a two-month creative writing workshop titled “Esta historia tiene mi nombre” (This story has my name).

The ceremony, held at the Sociedad Cultural Alianza Cibaeña, featured Julio Manuel Díaz Capellán, the executive director and founder of Hogar Crea Dominicano Inc. Representatives from 41 of the institution's treatment centers across the country were also in attendance. During the event, participants shared their written works and personal experiences, utilizing creative writing as a tool for self-expression, reflection, and personal transformation.

The institution recognized the contributions of instructor Bernaliza Rodríguez and acknowledged support from various entities, including the Ministry of Culture, the Puerto Plata Prosecutor's Office, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
