Hogar de Cristo hosts bakery workshop for youth in recovery
At the Hogar de Cristo ‘Madre del Puente Carretero’ neighborhood center, pastry chef Miguel Ávila is conducting a bakery and pastry workshop designed to provide vocational tools to young people in addiction recovery.
Using traditional methods such as clay ovens, the workshop teaches participants how to make bread, croissants, and various pastries. The initiative aims to equip youth with professional skills to help them reintegrate into society and secure employment to support their families upon completing their recovery processes.
