Hogar de Noche reports over 7,000 assisted visits in Salta

The “Hogar de Noche” social containment program in Salta has reported a positive outcome, recording over 7,000 assisted visits since its launch on May 5. The facility, located at 20 de Febrero 231 in the city center, provided shelter, food, and medical care to men and women experiencing homelessness.

Demand peaked in June due to low temperatures. According to Pablo Linares, Undersecretary of Social Inclusion, the program offered protection and support for labor reintegration through collaboration with the provincial Ministry of Social Development, the Red Cross, the Fundación Puentes, the School of Entrepreneurs, and the Employment Office.

The program will continue operations until September 5. Following this, the site will be repurposed to serve as a logistical support center for the Milagro Salteño 2026 festivities.
