Hogar Municipal Eva Perón completes facility expansion in Escobar

The Hogar Municipal Eva Perón, a municipal home for elderly women in Escobar, Argentina, has completed a significant expansion and renovation project to mark its 53rd anniversary. The improvements aim to provide safer, more accessible, and comfortable facilities for its 20 residents and 23 staff members.

Key infrastructure upgrades include the construction of a bathroom with a shower and changing area, a new 70-square-meter outdoor area, a pergola, and a safe path connecting the home to the exterior. The project also involved refurbishing the patio and various functional areas. The facility currently operates with ten rooms, seven of which feature private bathrooms.

The works were driven by the Asociación Civil Cooperadora Familia Hogar Eva Perón, which began the initiative in April. Funding was raised through community-led activities such as solidarity fairs, raffles, and food sales, supported by donations from local families, businesses, and neighbors. Mayor Ariel Sujarchuk visited the site to recognize the efforts of the cooperative and the staff.
