Hohenstein Harvest Festival 2026 to be held Saturday only

The Hohenstein Harvest Festival (Erntefest) is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026, at the Sportplatz Hohenstein. Organisers have decided to concentrate the celebration on a single day, eliminating the traditional Friday disco evening.

The Saturday program includes a parade with a fanfare band and decorated tractors at 11:00 a.m., the crowning of the harvest queen and a concert by the Freie Bläserchor Berlin at noon, a “Great Milking” competition with prizes at 14:00, a children’s program featuring Nine Mond and a dance tea, a vocal duo performance by Wynona & Jakob at 17:30, country dancing at 18:30, and a disco with a show program at 19:30. Food stalls will offer regional products, craft items, and treats such as burgers, mushroom stew, pea soup, grilled items, beer on tap, strawberry punch, cakes, wild boar roast, langos, ice cream and waffles.
