Hohhot launches innovation measures to drive industrial development
Hohhot has launched a strategic initiative to integrate technological and industrial innovation to drive economic development in northern China. On August 25, the city released 20 specific measures and an overarching implementation plan designed to establish the region as a high-quality development growth pole.
Key technological advancements highlighted include the National Dairy Technology Innovation Centre’s ability to reduce dairy-cattle breeding evaluation from four years to 45 days and its development of China’s first probiotic strain for infants derived from Chinese breast milk. Additionally, a new aerospace and metrology scientific facility is under development in the Horinger New District.
Other developments include the launch of a new-energy industrial large model by the Inner Mongolia University of Technology and the consistent production of 4N5 high-purity germanium by a domestic enterprise, which supports quantum technology and photovoltaic sectors.
