Hoka Clifton 9 running shoe features lightweight cushioning

The Hoka Clifton 9 is a neutral running shoe designed for road use, focusing on providing significant cushioning without excessive weight. The men’s version weighs approximately 248 grams per shoe, while the women’s model weighs around 205 grams.

Technically, the shoe features a voluminous EVA midsole designed to facilitate a smooth rolling motion. It utilizes a 5 mm drop, with a heel height of 32 mm and a forefoot height of 27 mm. A Meta-Rocker geometry is integrated into the early phase of the gait cycle to soften the transition from heel to forefoot.

For durability, the outsole incorporates Durabrasion Rubber elements in high-wear areas. The shoe is available in standard and extended widths to accommodate different foot shapes, and a Gore-Tex (GTX) version is offered for weather protection.
