Hokkaido hospitality businesses announce seasonal and anniversary initiatives

Several hospitality businesses in Hokkaido are launching initiatives to celebrate upcoming seasonal and historical milestones.

Yumoto Takubokutei, located in Hakodate's Yunokawa Onsen, has launched a dedicated web page for its autumn and winter accommodation plans. The plans include a round-trip shuttle bus service between Sapporo and Hakodate, running on specific days from October 2026 through March 2027 to facilitate easier travel for tourists visiting the region.

In Chitose, Marukoma Onsen Ryokan, which has operated at Lake Shikotsu for 111 years, has announced a special free day-trip hot spring event for Chitose residents on October 21, 2026. The event is intended to express gratitude to the local community ahead of the 100th anniversary of the opening of Chitose Airport on October 22, 2026.
