Hokkaido Wagyu Show held in Tokachi to promote local beef

The Hokkaido Wagyu Show in Tokachi was held on August 29 at Tokachi Plaza in Obihiro, featuring free distributions of Hokkaido black wagyu beef steak to promote the quality of local beef. The event, organized by Hokuren, serves as a precursor to the National Wagyu Showmanship Contest scheduled for August 2027 in Obihiro and Otofurue.

In conjunction with the promotional efforts, the 35th Hokkaido Meat Cattle Show took place at the Tokachi Agricultural Cooperative Federation livestock competition venue in Otofurue. The competition featured 155 selected cattle from across Hokkaido, where participants competed on the physique and development of high-quality black wagyu cattle.
