Hokuto Matsumura and Mio Imada promote film ‘Swan and Bat’

Actors Hokuto Matsumura and Mio Imada appeared at a promotional event in Tokyo for the film ‘Swan and Bat’, scheduled for release on September 4. During the event, it was revealed that the original author, Keigo Higashino, who passed away last month, had viewed a screening of the completed film. Higashino reportedly praised the final scene to producers.

Matsumura and Imada expressed deep gratitude toward the late author, noting that his approval provided a sense of relief and honor. The film is a live-action adaptation of Higashino’s mystery novel, following the journey of a suspect’s son and a victim’s daughter as they seek the truth.

In addition to the film’s themes, Matsumura drew attention for his new orange hair color during a live appearance on the morning program ‘ZIP!’, part of a promotional campaign ahead of the movie’s premiere.
