Hokuto Matsumura and Saie Okazaki complete filming for drama ‘Confession’

Actors Hokuto Matsumura and Saie Okazaki have completed filming for the Nippon TV love-suspense drama ‘Confession: The 25th Year Secret’ (Kokuhaku - 25-nenme no Himitsu -). The production reached its ‘all-up’ stage following a final scene featuring the two leads.

In the series, Matsumura plays Sota Yukimura, a man who has harbored a crush on Mariko Nose (played by Okazaki) for 25 years. The plot intertwines this long-standing affection with the investigation of a mysterious incident that occurred a quarter-century ago.

Matsumura expressed gratitude for the positive reception of the show, noting that the feedback exceeded his expectations and provided significant personal learning. Okazaki shared that while she initially felt pressure regarding the complex role, she enjoyed the filming environment and expressed happiness in portraying the character of Mariko. The drama is scheduled to air its final episode on September 19.
