Holaluz defends licensing amid Spanish ministry probe
Holaluz has filed formal allegations with Spain's Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, contesting an administrative procedure that could strip its electricity‑commercialisation licence and transfer its roughly 250,000 customer contracts to reference retailers. The company insists that there is no legal basis for inactivation, that it holds no debt with distributors Iberdrola, Endesa or Naturgy, and that all invoices claimed by the distributors are fully paid.
The firm says the opening of the procedure has no immediate effect on its licence or on its customer portfolio, and it continues to supply electricity without interruption. Its shares have been suspended on the BME Growth market since 20 July. Co‑founder and CEO Carlota Pi affirmed that Holaluz will take legal action if necessary and expects the matter to be resolved quickly.
