Holden Monaro destroyed in Brisbane car crash
A 1970 gold Holden Monaro was destroyed in a single-vehicle crash in the Brisbane suburb of Eagle Farm on Sunday, August 23. The vehicle left the roadway on Kingsford Smith Drive and collided with a tree, causing severe impact to the driver's side of the cabin.
The driver, a 52-year-old man from Jindalee, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in stable condition. Security footage suggests the Monaro was traveling alongside another classic car before the accident occurred.
The Queensland Police Service's Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident. Authorities are requesting that anyone with dashcam footage or witnesses contact the police using reference number QP2601643006.
