Holding Ultra Mikro enables 2.35 million PNM customers to access formal finance
The Holding Ultra Mikro (UMi) has completed five years of operation, facilitating the transition of 2.35 million PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) customers into formal financial services as of June 2026. This progress is driven by the synergy between PNM, BRI, and Pegadaian.
Through the Mekaar program, which supports underprivileged women in ultra-micro businesses, customers are gaining access to broader financial tools. This includes BRI’s extensive SME financing infrastructure, Pegadaian’s gold-based investment and pawn services, and new access to Simpedes UMi savings accounts through the PNM-BRI collaboration.
BRI Group CEO Hery Gunardi noted that the integration allows each entity to leverage its specific strengths to support the customer journey. PNM President Director Kindaris emphasized that the goal is to provide tailored support that evolves alongside the business stages of each customer.
