Holiday festivities planned in Zottegem and Oudenaarde

Local organizations and municipalities in Belgium are preparing for the upcoming holiday season with various festive activities.

The Feestcomité Zottegem has organized a bus excursion to the Christmas market in Cologne, Germany, scheduled for November 30. The trip aims to allow residents to experience the city's well-known seasonal decorations and traditional stalls. The excursion departs from Zottegem at 6:00 AM, with a return expected around midnight.

In Oudenaarde, the city is seeking local merchants and associations to participate in the 'Winterdorp' event. The festival will take place on the Market square from December 4 to December 27. Mayor John Adam noted that the event's schedule has been adjusted to start earlier and end shortly after Christmas to better align with peak public interest. Participants can rent Christmas chalets or host winter attractions to contribute to the city center's seasonal atmosphere.
