Holland America Line announces fleet upgrades and 2028 Alaska season

Holland America Line has announced several updates to its fleet and upcoming itineraries. As part of the ‘Holland America Evolution’ program—a $500 million investment to enhance Vista and Signature Class ships—the company is adding new pool bandstands for live entertainment at the Lido Pool on the Oosterdam and Zuiderdam. The first of these venues is scheduled to debut on the Oosterdam following its transformation in fall 2027.

Additionally, the cruise line has opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska season. The season will feature cruises ranging from seven to 18 days aboard several ships, including the Oosterdam, Noordam, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Westerdam, and Zaandam. Itineraries will sail from Seattle and Vancouver, between Vancouver and Whittier, and include a new voyage from San Diego to Vancouver. The 2028 season will also feature the arrival of the reimagined Oosterdam.
