Holland America Line rolls out new farewell dinner and announces Rotterdam Mediterranean cruises for 2027

Holland America Line introduced a new “Farewell Dinner” for guests on the final evening of their cruise. The event, described as a celebratory finale, features a curated menu that reflects the line’s 150‑year culinary heritage and includes traditional songs such as the “Gelang Sipaku Gelang.” Senior Vice President Michael Stendebach said, “The ‘Farewell Dinner’ is designed to celebrate the journey guests have shared together while creating a memorable farewell before they return home.”

Separately, the line announced that its flagship Rotterdam will debut a series of Mediterranean itineraries in the fall of 2027. The schedule includes ten‑ and eleven‑day voyages to ports such as Lisbon, Naples, Kotor, Rhodes and Alexandria, with a 14‑day transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale concluding the season. Vice President of Revenue Planning Paul Grigsby noted, “We know how much our guests love sailing on Rotterdam, and the Mediterranean is always in high demand.” The new sailings aim to expand Holland America’s presence in Europe beyond the traditional summer months, offering longer stays ashore and a mix of marquee and lesser‑visited destinations.
