Holland America Line to add poolside music venues to two ships

Holland America Line is introducing permanent poolside live music venues to its Vista-class ships, Oosterdam and Zuiderdam, as part of its ‘Holland America Evolution’ fleet enhancement program. The program involves a multi-year investment of more than $500 million to modernize six vessels.

The new bandstands will be located in the Lido Pool areas, providing dedicated spaces for solo musicians and full bands. These venues are intended to host various onboard activities, including sailaway parties and the company’s ‘Orange Party,’ which celebrates its Dutch heritage.

The Oosterdam is scheduled to debut its new bandstand following its transformation in late 2027. The Zuiderdam will follow with its own refurbishment expected in spring 2028.
