Holland America Line unveils new Beach Club at Half Moon Cay

Holland America Line has announced significant enhancements to its private island, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, in the Bahamas. The upgrades include the launch of a new exclusive Beach Club, which will be available for bookings starting in early October.

Beach Club guests will receive priority tendering from ships, dedicated waiter service, all-inclusive beverages, and specialty food offerings. Other island improvements include a new food pavilion featuring a complimentary barbecue menu, upgraded cabanas, refreshed bars, and additional beach amenities such as daybeds and canopy loungers. The island also continues to offer pickleball courts.

These developments are part of a broader industry trend where cruise operators transform private island stops into premium, resort-style destinations. By offering tiered access and curated amenities, cruise lines can create new revenue streams through high-margin guest experiences and destination-based upsells. The enhancements arrive ahead of the island’s 30th anniversary in 2027, with updated itineraries scheduled to run from October 2026 through April 2027.
