Holland America Line unveils redesigned Ocean Bar for Oosterdam

Holland America Line has unveiled the redesigned Ocean Bar aboard the Oosterdam as part of its Evolution upgrade program. The venue features a new stage, refreshed lounge spaces, and a reimagined layout intended to bring guests closer to live performances, including soloists, pianists, and cabaret.

The design blends Art Deco elegance with nautical influences, utilizing custom furnishings inspired by vintage travel trunks and luggage. In line with sustainability efforts, the cruise line is reupholstering existing lounge furniture using fabrics made from recycled materials.

The Oosterdam is scheduled to offer various itineraries across Europe, the Caribbean, and North America starting in late 2027, following its scheduled fall drydock. This refurbishment is part of the largest fleet update in the company’s 153-year history.
