Hollow Home survival RPG set for January 2027 release
Ukrainian developer Twigames and German publisher Crunchy Leaf Games have announced that the narrative survival RPG Hollow Home is scheduled for release on January 27, 2027. The game will be available on PC via Steam and on Xbox platforms.
Inspired by the siege of Mariupol and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the story follows Maksym, a 14-year-old boy attempting to survive alone in a city under siege. Unlike traditional RPGs, Hollow Home features no weapons or combat systems. Instead, gameplay focuses on dialogue, human relationships, and moral decision-making to navigate the consequences of war.
Development began in the spring of 2022, shortly after the full-scale invasion began, as a way for the Kiev-based team to process their lived reality. Players will explore three districts that evolve as the conflict progresses, with branching quests and multiple endings determined by player choices.
