Separately, the show is exploring a grooming storyline centered on the character Dee Dee Hutchinson. Dee Dee, a vulnerable teenager, is being manipulated by Abigail Matthews, a school counselor and teacher. Actor Chloe Atkinson has described the upcoming developments in this storyline as ‘intense and scary’ as the character Abigail continues to exploit her position of authority to tighten her grip on Dee Dee.
