HollyShorts Film Festival showcases over 400 short films

The 22nd edition of the HollyShorts Film Festival is currently underway, running through August 23 at venues including the TCL Chinese Theatre and Ovation Hollywood. As an Academy Awards and BAFTA-qualifying event, the festival features a lineup of more than 400 short films available for in-person viewing or online.

Notable entries in this year's program include ‘VITAL’, a drama concerning the ethics of the organ trade, and the British dark comedy ‘Life Goes On’. Other highlighted works include ‘Halfrican’, which explores race relations and identity politics, and ‘Spilled Milk’, a horror-themed film addressing the theme of absent fathers. The festival continues to serve as a major global showcase for short-form cinema.
