Hollywood Music in Media Awards announces 2026 nominees

The 2026 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) has announced its nominees, featuring prominent names such as Taylor Swift, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Diane Warren. Several films, including ‘The Odyssey,’ ‘Behemoth!’, ‘Michael’, ‘Brother Verses Brother’, and ‘Linda Perry: Let It Die Here’, led the film categories with three nominations each.

Individual composers Daniel Pemberton and Mina Samy received four nominations each. Pemberton was recognized for his work on ‘Project Hail Mary’, ‘The Drama’, ‘Slow Horses’, and the song ‘Let Me Sell You a Dream’. Samy earned nominations for ‘Ezma’, the short film ‘Stopped’, and the series ‘The Death Ward’. Ludwig Göransson received three nominations for ‘The Odyssey’ across score, song, and music video categories.

The HMMAs are often viewed as a precursor to the Academy Awards. Last year, the awards included several winners that subsequently won Oscars, and all five Oscar nominees for Best Original Score had previously been HMMA nominees. The winners will be announced on November 18 at Avalon Hollywood.
