Hollywood Vampires documentary set for Boston Film Festival premiere

The documentary ‘Unleashed Spirits – The Rise Of The Hollywood Vampires’ is scheduled to premiere at the Boston Film Festival on September 18, 2026.

The film explores the history of the band, tracing its roots back 40 years to a group of musicians at The Rainbow Bar & Grill that included figures such as John Lennon and Keith Moon. It focuses on the modern iteration of the band, formed in 2012 by Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry.

According to the announcement, the documentary highlights the friendships and connections between artists from different worlds who found common ground through music. Attendees at the premiere are expected to include Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and producer Tommy Henriksen, who will join director Daniel E. Catullo and producers Ernie Boch Jr. and Paul Geary.
