Holmesdale Fanatics end 20 years of Crystal Palace ultra support

The Holmesdale Fanatics, a prominent supporter group for Crystal Palace, has announced the cessation of all activities after more than 20 years. The group was instrumental in maintaining a European-style ultra culture within the Premier League, characterized by organized chanting, choreography, banners, and occasional pyrotechnics.

In an official statement, the group cited long-standing conflicts with club management and authorities as the primary reason for their decision. They noted that conditions for their operations had become unsustainable. Key grievances included rising ticket prices, rigorous security protocols, and persistent restrictions on bringing supporter props such as flags and banners into the stadium.

The group also highlighted difficulties faced during away matches, noting that supporter buses are frequently searched and equipment is confiscated, which has discouraged younger fans from traveling and led to a decline in the dynamism of away sections.
