Holofiction documentary preview scheduled for Pforzheim

The documentary film ‘Holofiction’, directed by Michal Kosakowski, will have a preview screening at the Reuchlinhaus in Pforzheim on October 3, 2026. The event is part of the ‘Long Night of Democracy’ and will be followed by a panel discussion with the director.

The essayistic documentary, which was featured in the competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, utilizes thousands of clips from cinema and television productions to explore the boundaries of cinematic storytelling. It is part of the ‘DARK TOURISM’ research and art project, which examines the visual representation of World War II and the Holocaust in contemporary media.

The film is a German-Austrian co-production scheduled for a general theatrical release in November.
