Hololive Dreams launch sparks Japanese mobile gaming surge as Gameloft Japan dissolves

Hololive Production released its first official mobile rhythm game, **Hololive Dreams**, on July 23 across the App Store, Google Play and Steam. To celebrate, the company added 25 new songs for 15 consecutive days, bringing the total track list to over 170, and offered generous launch rewards such as 2,500 diamonds and exclusive items. The game quickly entered the top ranks, reaching #4 on the App Store sales chart and #7 on Steam.

The same week saw the dissolution of Gameloft Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the French game developer, which was announced in a June‑30 official notice. Additionally, CyberAgent’s cover stock fell for several days after the Hololive Dreams release, as analysts cited profit‑taking following a prior price rise.
