Holy Metropolis of Kition to host cultural event honoring Greek Hellenism

The Holy Metropolis of Kition, Katerini and Platamona, in collaboration with the Agios Antonios Church in Svoronos, Pieria, and the musical ensemble Musoiko, will host a cultural event titled ‘Wounded Homeland, Resurrected Soul!!’ on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The event is designed as a musical and historical tribute to Greek Hellenism, focusing on the traditions and memories of people from regions such as Asia Minor, Pontus, Cappadocia, and Constantinople. The program will feature music, song, and speeches to highlight the historical journey and culture of these areas.

Father Christos Mitsios, also known as Papa Paok, will serve as the central speaker. An economist, theologian, and retired educator, he will provide historical and spiritual depth to the commemoration. The event aims to preserve tradition as a living legacy for future generations.
