Holy Metropolis of Stagoi and Meteora announces scholarship recipients

The Holy Metropolis of Stagoi and Meteora has announced the recipients of the Metropolitan Academy Scholarships for Theological and Historical Studies. Following a review of 22 applications by a three-member committee, several students were selected based on academic performance in national examinations and socio-economic criteria, including parental income and family circumstances.

Each scholarship provides 3,000 euros to assist newly admitted university students with expenses such as rent, food, and relocation. To qualify, students must be permanent residents within the boundaries of the Holy Metropolis of Stagoi and Meteora.

The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Holy Metropolitan Cathedral in Kalabaka. The presentation will be conducted by Metropolitan Theoklitos, the founder and president of the Academy, following the festive Divine Liturgy in honor of Saint Vissarion.
