Home and Away to air original episodes on new UK channel 5Drama

The Australian soap opera Home and Away is expanding its reach in the United Kingdom, with the channel 5Drama set to air the series in its entirety starting October 21. This launch allows viewers to revisit the show from its 1988 origins.

Longtime cast members Ray Meagher and Emily Symons expressed enthusiasm for the move, noting the opportunity for new UK audiences to discover the history of characters like Alf and Marilyn Chambers.

In recent plot developments within the series, the character Richie Brezniak has returned to Summer Bay in an attempt to reconcile with Abigail Fowler. His return has caused tension, particularly with Lacey, the daughter of Sergeant David Langham, who remains angry following an incident where Richie accidentally shot her father.
