Home Bancshares reports record $129.5 million third-quarter profit
Home Bancshares, the parent company of Centennial Bank, reported record third-quarter net income of $129.5 million, or 65 cents per diluted share. This represents an increase from $119.3 million in the second quarter and $123.6 million from the same period last year.
The bank’s net interest margin improved to 4.53%. Chairman John Allison attributed the strong performance to disciplined balance sheet management, noting that the company avoided long-term securities during low-interest periods to protect against losses as rates rose.
Regarding shareholder returns, the company raised its quarterly dividend by 9.5% to $0.23 per share. Through the first three quarters of 2026, Home Bancshares repurchased approximately 3.3 million shares for $94.4 million. Management indicated plans to continue share buybacks in the fourth quarter.
Additionally, the company noted that the Mountain Commerce acquisition is contributing to results, with further benefits expected following the completion of back-office integration in the fourth quarter.
