The system is scalable, allowing homeowners to expand capacity up to 86.4 kilowatt-hours to accommodate future additions like electric vehicles or heat pumps. The unit features a 12-year warranty and is designed to operate in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in Australia, there has been a rapid increase in home battery installations, with approximately 600,000 homes currently utilizing them. However, researchers emphasize that battery capacity alone cannot compensate for poor home design. Studies suggest that architectural decisions—such as insulation, window orientation, and ventilation—are critical to reducing overall energy consumption. Efficient home design can decrease the amount of electricity required from batteries and the grid, preventing the need for oversized, inefficient battery systems.
