Home cleaning tips: vinegar solution for streak‑free windows and dust‑filled curtains
A mixture of equal parts warm water and white vinegar can be sprayed on glass and wiped with a squeegee from top to bottom to achieve streak‑free windows. For a small pane, use about 100‑150 ml of the solution; a large window or sliding door requires roughly 500 ml. The key steps are dusting the frame, spraying without over‑wetting, and immediately squeegeeing to prevent marks.
Curtains act as passive filters, trapping dust, pollen, pet hair and other airborne particles. Over time they become reservoirs of allergens and can degrade indoor air quality, irritating eyes, throats and worsening asthma symptoms. Regular washing or cleaning of curtains is therefore essential for a healthier home environment.
