Home entertainment releases for September 1 include new digital and physical titles

Several new titles are arriving on home entertainment platforms on September 1.

Angel Studios is releasing the historical political drama ‘The Brink of War’ for digital purchase or rental. Written and directed by Michael Russell Gunn, the film portrays the 1986 nuclear arms talks between the United States and the Soviet Union in Iceland, featuring Jeff Daniels as Ronald Reagan and Jared Harris as Mikhail Gorbachev.

Paramount Global Content Distribution is releasing the thriller ‘Confinement’ digitally. The film follows a grieving widow, played by Nathalie Emmanuel, who is taken in by her late husband’s estranged family.

Other notable releases include the Irish comedy ‘Once Upon a Time in a Cinema’ by Myriad Pictures, which will be available on DVD via Kino Lorber. Additionally, Lionsgate has released a limited-edition 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital Steelbook version of ‘The Descent: Part 2’ in the United States.
