Home humidity and mold prevention tips
As temperatures drop, household humidity and mold become significant concerns. Experts note that common habits, such as drying wet clothes on indoor radiators or drying racks, are primary causes of elevated indoor humidity. This excess moisture often migrates to cold surfaces like windows and exterior walls, leading to condensation and mold growth. Additionally, placing large furniture directly against walls can create hidden damp zones that damage cabinets and clothing.
To combat these issues, LIDL is promoting its Tronic brand dehumidifier, available from October 12. The compact device can extract up to 10 liters of water per day and features a 2.1-liter tank with electronic overflow protection. Notably, the model includes a dedicated laundry drying program designed to accelerate the drying process while simultaneously removing moisture from the air to prevent mold buildup.
