Home improvement retailers host free kids workshops

Home Depot will hold a free Rocket Game Workshop for children ages 5 to 12 on August 1, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in participating stores. Registration is required, spots are limited, and participants receive a certificate and a commemorative pin.

Lowe’s is offering a free Build & Grow event on August 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where kids can create a Dino Island Volcano kit tied to the new Paw Patrol movie. The kit can also be picked up for home use later that day. Registration is required to reserve a space and kit.

Both events are free, in‑store activities aimed at families, and require parents to accompany children.
