Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico see surge of violent robberies and raids

A series of armed robberies and violent break‑ins have been reported across Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico. In the Buenos Aires conurbation a 42‑year‑old man was shot in the leg while his three children watched as thieves stole cash and phones. In Miramar, a retired couple was tied up during a home invasion, and a second attempted break‑in occurred nearby. Punta Alta police are investigating a vandalism attack that damaged a club shuttle bus with stones. In Uruguay, a shop on the Costanera Tomás Berreta was broken into, with alcoholic drinks, tables and chairs stolen. In Reynosa, Mexico, two men armed with knives forced a convenience‑store employee to withdraw 10,000 pesos before fleeing.

Authorities in each location have made arrests in some cases and launched investigations, seizing weapons, vehicles and electronic devices, while police continue to search for the perpetrators of the unresolved incidents.
