Home Invasions in Mato Grosso Lead to Arrests of Two Suspects

In Nova Mutum, Mato Grosso, police arrested a 51‑year‑old man who had broken into a residence and was found sleeping in a bedroom wearing the daughter’s clothing. The homeowner had locked herself in another room and alerted authorities. Officers reported the suspect entered through a poorly closed glass door, showed incoherent speech, and had a prior record of similar incidents.

In Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, a 34‑year‑old resident woke to noises, confronted a 20‑year‑old intruder in his bedroom and restrained him until police arrived. The suspect was found carrying two Nubank bank cards belonging to the homeowner and his spouse. He was taken into custody without injury and processed by the Central de Flagrantes.

Both incidents prompted rapid police response, no injuries were reported, and the suspects were detained for further investigation.
