Home robotics updates: Shark vacuum discount and Ecovacs window cleaner

New consumer technology updates highlight advancements in domestic robotics, specifically in floor and window maintenance.

The Shark PowerDetect robot vacuum is currently available at a discounted price of €229.99, representing a 54% reduction from its original price. The device features an auto-empty base capable of storing debris for up to 60 days and includes an odor-neutralizing cartridge. Its technical specifications include active lifting to navigate cables and door thresholds, automatic suction adjustment based on floor type and dirt density, and a height of 14.5 cm to facilitate cleaning under furniture.

In the window cleaning sector, the Ecovacs Winbot W2S Pro Omni has been released as an upgrade to the W2S Omni. Priced at €599, the robot uses suction to adhere to glass and moves via tracks. Improvements in this model include a 120 ml liquid reservoir and four corner brushes designed to clean edges more effectively. The unit operates via a portable station with a battery, allowing for use away from electrical outlets, though it remains connected to the station by a cable.
